GO PLAY IN TRAFFIC…
TO HELP BUILD YOUR WEBSITE

A number of my associates have noticed a substantial increase in my web visibility and have asked how I accomplished that. Here's what you can do to replicate my efforts and hopefully match or exceed my results.

Video content is in high demand.

Create videos about yourself or your product and put them on YouTube.com. There are other video websites, but YouTube is far and away number ONE. There will be other websites that will take your videos and put it on their website, mainly because they don't have their own content or are trying to gain positioning with Google, but in the meantime, your product is being viewed by people on their website. Make sure that on YouTube, you put enough information about yourself, including the name of your website, so that the viewers of your video can get in touch with you. You can view my YouTube channel at youtube.com/GordonBizar.

Search Engines Thrive on Keywords

To see which keywords, as well as key word phrases, are the best to use. Use Google's website to see which ones rank as the most searched. Phrases may be the better way to go in choosing your keywords since they really hone in on what you have to offer. Try to make sure these key words and phrases lead your page names as well as headlines and are sprinkled liberally throughout your text.

A Blog Accentuates Your Unique Identity and Reason to Be

Blogs can be a real key to gain traffic to your website. You can create a website on Wordpress.org and use their posts area to create your blogs or use their software download to create blog pages on your existing website. Once you have your blogs, you'll need to let people know where to find them. You can use Flickr.com by placing a link to your blog or website under an image. Turn your most popular posts and pages into a slide show and place it on slideshare.net.

Bookmark your blogs on:

BlogEngage.com
BlogInteract.com
Serpd.com
Blokube.com
BizSugar.com

Be very active by voting for bloggers, don't just share your own posts. If your feeling at all confused, you can gain clarity by just going to these sites and taking some time to see how they work.

Contribute to Other Web Sites that Link Back to Your Site

Get traffic by writing for other sites especially those that will let you place a link back to your web site.

EzineArtcles.com
Squidoo.com
Hubpages.com

I'm not a fan of forums, but you can get traffic from the ones that are active. To search for forums, go to Google.com, put in your keyword and then type forums. Hopefully you'll find one that will work well for you.

Smile and Be Sociable

We've all heard about the social web sites.

Facebook.com
Twitter.com
Linkedin.com
Groups.yahoo.com

If you interact with the people in your social group you will eventually collect enough followers, but you'll need to follow them also. Depending on what you have to offer, this might be a very good way to promote your product(s) and your blogs. This could easily become a long process. There are books available to help you to understand what needs to be done to promote thought this social media. However, none stand out, so I'm hesitant to make any recommendations here. You might hang out at bookstore and just start reading until you find a book that makes sense to you.

Help Other People Find Answers

There are answer sites where people have and pose questions. The chances are your product or blog could be an answer that they're looking for. So check out these sites.

Vark.com
Answers.yahoo.com
Quora.com
Fluther.com
Blurtit.com
Yedda.com

Sell Where People Go to Buy

Here is my last suggestion for selling your products. Tons of products and services are marketed on these sites literally 24/7.

eBay.com
Craigslist.org
